The weather is getting colder, so it's time to put away the breathable linen dresses and take out the turtlenecks and sweaters. Around these transition times I feel the urge to reinvent my wardrobe, which means it's time to go second-hand shopping. I feel like some velvet pants could be a great way to get through the colder months.
Filtr is one of my recently discovered spots to shop second-hand. "First coffee, second clothes" is the motto of the place and if you ask me, the owners hit the spot with the concept.
This place is for one a brew bar (meaning they specialize in making hand-poured coffee, no espresso machines) that serves amazing coffee from places such as the Five elephants brewery - so if you love your V60, you're going to be ecstatic- and a second-hand/vintage shop. They hold a great selection of urban street-style 90s inspired clothes along with unique and-one-of-a-kind pieces and vintage accessories. To get there, take tram n. 6 or n.11 and get off at the Nuselské schody station or take a walk down Nuselské schody (the stairs connecting the parts of Vinohrady uphill and downhill), it's a quite a romantic route during the leaves-changing-colors season.
