There are many coffee places all around the city and I am still impressed by the fact that even if some spots may seem like ultra-ordinary, I still feel very special and different in every single one of them. It is also the case of Café Lajka, where it could be just trivial things like great music playing in the background or the nice lightning that make it special.
Café Lajka is a true neighbourhood gem. It can be a place for people to meet, chat and have a coffee by quality coffee company Doubleshot or beer from smaller breweries. But that’s not all this place offers.
It is also a cultural centre for all people who are interested in the news from their neighbourhood, Prague 7. Students from art school situated nearby and other artists can exhibit their work here. It’s a place for workshops, debates and small theatre plays by citizen communities. There is a room for organizing private parties or events as well. A big plus is that it’s a baby-friendly and, unsurprisingly, a dog-friendly place, so during the day it surely becomes a refreshing and interesting meeting point.
I think that it is always good to know a place like this – to hang out and spend some time with your friends within the busyness of the city centre.
