Jiřího z Poděbrad, Jiřák or JZP, you can choose your own way to call this beloved square in the heart of Vinohrady. This is one of the trendiest areas for locals in town: a bit casual, a bit hipster, or BoBo, if you will.
In its surroundings you can find a great variety of outstanding restaurants, bars and cafés: Burgers (Hoxton), sausages and steaks (Mikrofarma), Chinese homemade noodles (Chi Xiao Mian), roasted chicken (Kro Bistro, Kohoutek), craft beers (BeerGeek), cocktails (Las Adelitas, BOHO), fresh seafood (Seafood Vinohradská, Černomorka), tapas (Gilda), coffee and pastries (The Miners, Cafefin, Tisse, MamaCoffee), french wine and bread (Le Caveau), traditional Czech food (U Růžového Sadu) or with a modern twist (U Tellerů) and much more!
From February to December, a bustling farmers’ market takes place every Wednesday through Saturday.
While in the area, don’t forget to check out the beautiful sunset at Riegrovy Sady.
(Note that the square is going through a massive reconstruction – planned to be completed by mid 2026 – but don’t let that hold you back)
