If you’re on a budget and feel like experiencing some art without spending a lot, we've got you covered. Galerie Kooperativy is a hidden but solid art gallery just a couple of tram stops from the city center. And the best part: it is completely free of charge.
With 2 themed exhibitions per year, they usually showcase works of great Czech artists, from painting to sculpture. I have to say that, unlike some free galleries, there are quite a lot of artworks on display. I’ve seen some František Kupka, Toyen, Václav Špála and Josef Čapek there!
The gallery is inside a corporate building; just go inside and walk up the spiral staircase to the second floor. The exhibition is right next to the café. If you’re feeling thirsty after admiring some pictures, you should head to Dva Kohouti, which is just a block away.
