The spring lockdown especially showed me how much I need and crave the social aspect of going out for a glass. Pouring one at home is just not the same as getting cozy at the lit-up winery, where music plays softly in the background and blends together with the glasses clinging and people chattering. It's a treat.
Na břehu Rhôny is definitely my top choice when it comes to wineries in the city. It's located in Výtoň and it holds a special place in my heart, hence why I like to take people who are special to me there.
The place specializes in French wine originating around the Rhône river. You can order a glass as in a standard winery, but you can also taste multiple kinds of wine by yourself. The concept is to take a glass and explore the different wine types in the cupboards-fridges located in the center of the winery; the wines are sorted by kind- white, red and rosé. Each kind has its number and an introduction about the vineyard owners. Tank yourself some and write it on your paper, so you know which one you like. There is a set price for 1 and 2 dcl. It's such an entertaining way to get to know many kinds of wine and form a "personal relationship" with it. Make it a date, get comfortable in the cozy space and feel up the atmosphere. Oh, and get a quiche. You can thank me later.
