When it comes to beer I can say at U Rudolfina you’ll get one of the best beers in Prague.
Pivnice U Rudolfina is located right next to the tram stop Staroměstská and without a big sign it’s quite easy to miss. When you enter there is a small space with only three tables and a tap, which doesn’t really look like anything special. Although in the cellar there is the main part of the pub with a long hall with tables and the real crowd.
One thing I’d point out about this spot is the service. Even though (or maybe therefore) the service crew has worked in the pub since the 90s, you can see they still like their job, they act nicely, they don’t hesitate to throw some jokes around and on top of that they know how to take care of your beloved drink.
With your beer you can also have something to eat. Their flagship dish is definitely the pork knee with horse radish and mustard, which is a perfect choice for a group of friends to share.
Especially in the evening it's possible you won’t find a place to sit, so be aware of that and don’t forget to withdraw some cash in the ATM around the corner, as they don’t accept cards.
