"We speak Italian very well and we know where piazza Navona is".
As you can read on the entrance door you have various reasons to come in to this bookshop, as well as to buy a book and to ask for information of course.
Altroquando, located in via del Governo Vecchio, just behind piazza Navona, has some interesting and funny events going on during the month. They organize a lot of different activities: from book presentations and small concerts to knitting classes. Once I visited a linguistic tandem with aperitif and conversation.
It has two different locations, facing each other, on both sides of this small pedestrian street. One is more generic and the other is specialized in cinema. So if you are looking for a particular book this is the right spot, also because you can always count on the help of the very kind and prepared shop assistants that are kind even with the people like me that come in and browse through the books just for the pleasure of doing it.
