I wanted to go to a unicorn-themed party, but my fellow spotter Daniela, who –unlike me- is perfectly aware of how old we are, dragged me to a networking event gathering branding agencies, graphic designers and communication professionals to unusual locations, and that time the talk was housed inside a micro-brewery in the hipster area of “Mandrione”.
Jungle Juice brewery began producing craft beers back in 2014. It was a ‘nomad’ brewery, meaning that at first they didn’t own a production plant and it took them a couple of years before finding their home in Rome in 2016, inside a former pasta factory.
From Thursday to Sunday, you can join the Jungle Juice boyz at their taproom, where you can try freshly made beers and also get some food, such as burritos (meat, fish and vegetarian options available), ribs, quesadillas and more.
They have some wooden tables outside to enjoy your craft beer in the sunshine (or under the stars) and the courtyard between the brewery, a communication company, and a mysterious club behind red curtains that we couldn’t figure out what it was about. Iit randomly hosts ‘block parties’ and other kinds of events.
The food was fine, but the beers were exceptional! They have some of their beers on tap, and then the whole array of bottles is available as well. “Never judge a craft beer by its label”, I know, but don’t forget to check out the Jungle Juice bottles because their labels are super cool!
