...and the answer is: Yes it does! Well, it does on Mondays at least. But let's first clarify what we're talking about here.
The Lettere Caffè is a classic example of a place you just stumble upon by chance. One Sunday, wandering around Trastevere on the lookout for the perfect place to enjoy sweet'n'lazy Sunday-ness, my attention was caught by two colourful Api (like a motorized rickshaw) transformed into two cozy benches... and decided that my search was over.
So other than the two motorized benches in front of the café, on the inside I found myself in an inspiring little spacecraft overloaded with street signs, seats and tables in all forms, colours and materials, and, behold... a little stage in the rear-end!
And here is where it starts to get really interesting. So, as already suggested, they organize poetry slams every Monday, which I personally think are very inspiring and recreational. And more importantly, they're done without any forms of presumption, as these kind of things often tend to be.
Then Thursday the program continues with a Jazz session, followed by some Folk and/or Blues music on Fridays, which then again is followed by Rock music on Saturdays. All of it live and local as a matter of fact!
And since no such evening is complete without the right potable and comestible circumstances, every evening they offer a very nice vegetarian aperitivo (which is 1 alcoholic drink of your choice and free access to the buffet) from 19:00 until 21:00.

"Via Casilina Vecchia" is, for me, one of the most intriguing neighbourhoods in Rome. It feels invisible to the rest of the city & forgotten by modernity.
