"Little C is a peaceful area in Rotterdam with brick facades and quiet alleyways, ideal for walking, studying at nearby cafés, or enjoying the harbor view."

As someone who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Little C in Rotterdam instantly takes me back to when I used to live there. The brick facades and cozy alleyways remind me of the brownstones of the neighbourhood I grew up in. Little C is a housing development in Rotterdam which was built to revitalize and reconnect the Coolhaven area in Rotterdam, a former industrial zone. Sometimes I go to Little C to just take a stroll through the alleyways and enjoy the view along the harbor that is around area.

I usually grab a coffee or matcha tea in the 'Kula' cafe within the Little C district and sit outside at the terrace tables when it is sunny. I bring my laptop to study or simply read a book. I have also come with friends to just take a walk and do something different in Rotterdam.

If you’re into thoughtful architecture, quiet corners, or just want to discover a different side of Rotterdam, Little C is definitely worth a visit. For me, it’s more than a photogenic spot, it’s a spot of familiarity, a reminder of home, and a place I keep coming back to.

Whether on family trips or exploring with friends, I somehow always end up being the one leading the way to the hidden places of each city and local favorites. I love uncovering the lesser-known sides of the cities I visit. I'm especially interested in understanding the vibe of a place through its local people, food, music, and ...
