No matter how much you love the place you live in, sometimes you just want to get away. Any time I do not have the time to go to Paris, I go to Louis Petit in Veerhaven. It is a slice of France with a Rotterdam view. Louise Petti has a Petit Déjeuner daytime café, a restaurant, and a wine bar. I love all three, but I am mostly at the Petit Déjeuner.
After a walk in Rotterdam Park or if just in need of some French elegance, this is one of my favorite places. From crepes with Comte cheese and truffles, Croque Monsieur, and delicious pastries to even a doggie croissant for your faithful four-pawed friend. There is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and every opportunity to spoil yourself. There is something on the menu for everyone. Their crémant is fabulous for any time of the day and may I suggest pairing it at least once with a foie gras macaron? This is also the perfect spot on rainy days when stepping inside is like being enveloped in a Parisian hug with comfy sofas, chansons, and all things merveilleux.
