On the pretty canal in Noord, Mecca is a vegetarian heaven. With a focus on Middle Eastern cuisine, it is without a doubt the best hummus in town. The dishes feel authentic and well spiced and if you love your za’atar, zhougs, and dukkha, Mecca is the place to be. With a beautiful authentic door, relaxed chill vibes and the cosy corner on the platform, it is easy to let time go by here. The hummus with fried eggs za’atar, sumac dukkah, or the labneh with spiced butter, pomegranate, and za’atar is the ever-ongoing struggle you will have.
The Fattoush is fresh and delicious and if you want it all I recommend the falafel bowl. With allergy information given on the menu, it is a carefree stop. Their speciality hot drinks look amazing and have given the looks of sheer bliss on my friend's faces. Their cold drinks are different and all a must-try. From the passion pepper to the tamarind and rose lemonade to the summer-only watermelon fizz, you will be refreshed and pleasantly surprised at the flavour combinations. For a smoothie with a twist, I am a big fan of the Lychee Raspberry. At all costs, leave room for your sweet tooth or take it away. A babka or tahini brownie is only sinful if not eaten.

I personally love the tiramisu, rocky road, lavender lemon, and the very berry. The double choco cookie regularly finds its way to my bag as well...
