Ever have one of those days when you really want to see a sports match, but you don’t want to watch it by yourself? Or you don’t have the required subscription on the sports channel? Well, I certainly do. I find it much more amusing to watch a game with people than all by myself on the couch and a bag of potato chips.
Well, Panenka is the place to be to watch any kind of sports game. The bar is located around the corner of the Witte the Withstraat and it has many TV screens that show almost every sport. The bar breathes a passion for sports and it can be quite crowded on a Sunday, when the city’s best football club, Feyenoord, has a match.
But what is watching sports without a beer and food? To cater to this need, Panenka offers a wide variety of beers, ranging from bottled beers to (local) special beers. Watching sports makes men hungry, so Panenka offers some tasty food as well. Of course, you could order a quick snack, but you could easily have a great dinner with appetizers and deserts. I find the Smokey BBQ burger especially tasty.
So, if you ever want to watch some sports, have some drinks and eat some food, Panenka is a great place to spend your time.
