Sabor sabor is a small, tucked-away restaurant on a lively corner owned by a Mexican woman named Liz Derflingher, who came from Mexico City to the Netherlands and decided to dedicate herself to sharing the Mexican gastronomy and culture with a new country. The place truly feels like you are in Mexico itself. The walls are adorned with colorful decorations from Mexico, and traditional Mexican music plays softly in the background, making it a full, authentic Mexican experience.
You can tell the dishes are made with love by the chef and have the true Mexican flavor. Whether you’re trying the freshly made tacos, the rich mole, or the comforting quesadillas, each bite bursts with authentic flavor. Liz cooks many of the dishes herself, using recipes passed down through generations. They also have a traditional Mexican fizzy drink called Jarritos in all kinds of flavors, which I personally am obsessed with.
Sabor sabor is the perfect place to come with friends, family or even host a celebration, as they also offer group menus in which you can organise parties with over six people. The team is super warm, attentive, and happy to make your evening unforgettable. I also recommend coming here when it's sunny because the restaurant provides tables outside, perfect for soaking up the weather while enjoying delicious Mexican food.
