The Vroesenpaviljoen isn’t just a favorite among locals, it’s a gathering place for all kinds of people. On any given day, you’ll find children playing, groups of friends sharing drinks at the beer tables, and elderly couples starting their morning with a coffee. Dogs playing on the field, enjoying the open space as much as their owners do.
One of my favorite lunches here is the '12 uurtje', a perfect midday meal that includes a warm bowl of soup, a vegetarian kroket, and a small salad. It’s a simple but satisfying combination that is always a succes.
The pavilion is nestled in Vroesenpark, a beloved green space where the entire neighborhood comes together, especially on sunny days. People bring their own BBQs, stretch out in the grass, and soak up the sun.
For us, a visit to the Vroesenpaviljoen is part of a simple but cherished routine: a stroll through the park with our dog, Andes, followed by a relaxed break at the pavilion with a coffee, a craft beer, and some snacks.
