When had I just come to live in Rotterdam, I missed the sea. And I wanted desperately to find an office with a view, somewhere I could work looking out to my new scenery. Walking around, I found this small little pedestrian park in front of the river. It's perfect because it has the sweet sound of the water, a couple of picnic tables that can be used to read or write and also a constant flow of people... this is just in case you want to get distracted.
One of its most important assets as an office is that it has no Wi-Fi... so it's good old concentration or looking around for the nice things in the day. It is also a perfect spot for taking pictures of the Kop Van Zuid and Hotel New York, and a point of reference for tourism activities. Start here your visit to the Port or take a Waterbus to go to Dordrecht or to the internationally acclaimed Kinderdijk.
Or do as I do: work (or procrastinate) with the sound of water.
