Tucked away in the basement of WORM, Wunderbar is one of Rotterdam’s weirdest bars you’ll ever love. It’s not your average night-out spot. The bar is decorated with vintage lamps, mismatched furniture, bizarre art, and a ping-pong table that somehow becomes the center of attention after a couple of drinks. The vibe is alternative, a little chaotic, and totally relaxed.
This is the kind of place where you come for a beer and end up staying for hours. Drinks are cheap (for Rotterdam standards), the music is always unexpected, anything from indie electro to obscure disco and the crowd is super mixed: students, artists, expats, locals, and just generally people who don’t care about being cool because they already are.
It’s also a great pre-drinks spot before heading upstairs to WORM’s event spaces, where they host concerts, film screenings, and club nights with some of the most eclectic programming in the city. If you're tired of glossy bars and expensive cocktails, Wunderbar is your place. Perfect place to stop by for a quiet drink or a night out with friends.
