Here is a perfect route from the Bronze Horseman and St. Isaac’s Cathedral to New Holland Island. If it’s a sunny day, why not to take a short walk from one of the main sights in St. Petersburg to another interesting spot alongside the picturesque boulevard and touch the history of the city just one more time.

Start near Manege Central Exhibition Hall – one of the biggest exhibition spaces in St. Petersburg nowadays, and a riding hall of the Horse Guards regiment in the past. The architect: Giacomo Quarenghi, described as “the last of the great architects of Italy”.

Don’t miss the Kochubei Palace on the right-hand side. Known in St. Petersburg as the “House with Moors”, it was built in accordance with the latest engineering technology in the middle of the 19th century.

Time for a lunch break? Stop at Stroganoff Steak House, the largest steak house in St. Petersburg which is located in the Horse Guards barracks building. A combination of cultural and gourmet experiences makes this place stand out from other “meat” places of the city.

If you have not visited the Russian Vodka Museum, which we have already talked about, it’s a good chance to do it and to learn more about the history of the “most Russian” beverage and Russian cuisine.
