There are a ton of sushi options in San Francisco and many of them are very expensive. Godzilla Sushi is a refreshing break from the trend. Located in Lower Pacific Heights, Godzilla Sushi has a true neighborhood feel. The walls are covered in Godzilla posters and paintings!
On a Sunday night the small restaurant is packed with families, couples, and friends catching up at the bar. If you are looking for a fine dining atmosphere, this might not be the place for you. But if you are in the mood for a low key restaurant with great food, this is the perfect spot.
The average rolls are $ 5 - $ 8- you can barely escape Starbucks without spending $ 5. The most expensive item on the menu is the Sashimi Combination which is $ 18.50 but includes 14 pieces of sushi! The only thing better than the sushi prices are the wine prices- a glass of California Red table wine is $ 3. You can also get a beer for around the same price.
Godzilla is a great spot for either lunch or dinner. They don't take reservations and seating is limited so it isn't the best fit for parties larger than 4.
