Beer lovers rejoice! The Crafty Fox Ale House is one of my favorite new spots to get an amazing glass of beer. I stumbled upon this little gem one afternoon on a day off when no one was in the bar. The bartender kindly allowed us to sample beer after beer until we found the perfect one we liked. With over 36 beers on tap, it's a bit overwhelming, but most of the time the bartenders have great recommendations and know what they're talking about! (So us beer newbies won't be too thwarted by all the choices.)
The location of this bar isn't the best - it's right underneath the freeway, however, it's close to all the hip places in the Mission. This place also serves a wide variety of bar snacks: bratwurst, poutine, wings, and other delicious-looking bites. While I haven't tried the food, the poutine is calling my name and I have a feeling I'll soon be back just for that.
The ambiance of this place is perfect. It has a great layout that doesn't feel too crowded for a bar and it plays a great selection of music. I've been to the Crafty Fox twice in the last month and I know I'll be back there soon!
