With myriad coffee shops in San Francisco, you certainly have your pick of where you want to get your first morning cup. However, if you’re in the vicinity of Pier 39 during your visit, be sure to stop in at Biscoff Coffee Corner. Their tagline is “enjoy your coffee the European Way,” and it’s certainly something to consider.
The name Biscoff is a combination of the words biscuits and coffee, and when you order a coffee, you’ll receive free biscuits as well. The biscuits they serve are traditional Speculoos biscuits. They are decorative, all-natural, taste like caramel, and are very crispy, making them the perfect pairing with your cup of coffee or espresso or whatever type of coffee drink you prefer.
Another cool factoid is that Biscoff biscuits are made using the original recipe dating back to 1932, baked by Lotus Bakery in Belgium, and were initially known as the “airline cookie.”
So not only does Biscoff serve great coffee and complimentary biscuits, but this particular location is the first one in North America to offer the experience of enjoying this European treat with every cup of coffee at no extra cost to you. Free is always a good thing. And you will love the biscuits. It's hard to only eat one.
