What used to be a piano-bar with 30 years of tradition is now in a new groove, much to the delight of everyone living in, or visiting, Skopje!
Usually, when places you liked so much change, you resist, but this place has turned into a lively, chatty hub, with an amazing interior, and more importantly, the most awesome Strawberry Mojito you've tasted in your life, probably. Feeling thirsty for something more Hemingwayish, with a twist of bachelorette? Try the Bourbon Mojito instead.
The prices are great, the people are nice, and it's especially friendly for kids, as you'll see a bunch of local parents having their coffee or beer, while the kids run about on the plateau. It's quickly become a local favorite, so you might even have trouble getting a table, which is why I'd recommend you call and reserve one, if you're set on trying this one.
If you're sitting outside (which is enjoyable in the summer, as it is one of the rare places you actually get a cool shadow from the huge trees surrounding it), make sure to at least take a peek inside. There's a whole library of books you can read or just look at, all the while cozying up in a living-room-like setting.
You can work, meet people, or just relax. Which is why it's quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Skopje.
