Spotter since 2014
About me
My name is Elena. I’ve studied journalism and cinema, and I’ve been travelling since I was a newborn. My parents instilled in me their passion for travel, and I’ve travelled around Europe and USA. I’m the one that always organized the family trips and that’s how I heard about Spotted by Locals, because it perfectly fits the way I like to travel.
I love cinema, art, fashion, dancing, and eating! But above all, I enjoy myself the most when I’m discovering new fantastic places around me to go to with my friends.
Why Madrid?
What I love the most about Madrid is that no matter what you are up to, what your age is or your interests are, you can find something to do. Do you want to watch a movie in an old slaughterhouse transformed in a contemporary art center? You got it. An incredible sunset view of Madrid while drinking a fancy cocktail? Of course! An authentic Chinese restaurant under the Gran Via? Yes!
Since I moved to Madrid in 2008 I’m always on the lookout for new, cool, unusual and original places. I read blogs, magazines, fanpages and I walk around the city. My “new places to go” list never ends and that is because Madrid is a city that never stops surprising you.
Where can you find me online?
