Heaven on Earth
Digomi Forest Park is my favorite place in Tbilisi. First of all, I grew up there. I took my first steps in that park. All my memories are connected with this place. It was the biggest park in Tbilisi about 15 years ago, about 75 hectares, now it is less than 20 hectares, with time government and development, companies assimilated more than half the space and they built there buildings and settlements.
It has been in existence since 1934 and it is the most amazing place. There are 150-year-old oak and pine trees which are of historical significance and there are the plants that are included in the red book. When I go there, I always take a slow walk under the oak trees' shadows and then I go to the alley where I take a long walk. When I get tired, I go to a valley where I lie on the ground and read a book or listen to music. It is the best place for relaxation.
