Tigershark The Hague

Karoline from The Hague

About me My name is Karoline, and I moved to The Hague at the end of 2022 with my husband. We moved to The Hague simply because we wanted to: an extremely privileged position and a decision we haven’t regretted for one second. I am passionate about nature, spending time outdoors, swimming in the sea (yes, even in winter) and discovering new places. I started running about two years ago and i...
"Whether you enjoy your cappuccino with cow’s milk or oat milk—Tigershark’s baristas perform their magic and make it taste absolutely delicious."
I might be completely biased, but to me, Tigershark has the best coffee in The Hague. Whether you enjoy your cappuccino with cow’s milk or oat milk—Tigershark’s baristas perform their magic and make it taste totally delicious. Tigershark is located in Badhuisstraat in Scheveningen, pretty close to the beach yet far enough away from crowds of tourists.

It is mostly the locals who frequent this place which makes it feel super relaxed and cosy. On top of that I personally have never experienced staff as friendly and warm as at Tigershark. They simply radiate positive, grounded and calm energy. I usually visit Tigershark after a morning swim and order an oatmilk cappuccino and an almond croissant. It should be mentioned that there is a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. They have somewhat of a terrace on Badhuisstraat (between the pavement and the street) and some space around the corner (on Stuurmanstraat), which is particularly lovely because it’s sheltered from the wind and gets a lot of morning sun. Even if it’s cold, this little corner makes you feel comfortably warm.

Tigershark doesn’t do (warm) food, but there are pastries and little sweet snacks like shortbread and cookies. They sell their own branded t-shirts, mostly use Friedhats beans from Amsterdam, and have a loo (not unimportant), but most importantly: Tigershark does the best Flat white in Scheveningen!

I started running about two years ago and it has been life-changing. I travel a lot (sometimes for work, sometimes for leisure), and running has enabled me to see an abundance of beautiful places and animals on this planet. When I’m done with ...
