This is a weird spot. I have lived in Vienna for several years and never knew about it. Then someone told someone who told my boyfriend, and there you go - now I know about it. I probably would have never found it without someone taking me there, although it is not “hidden”.
After learning about it, I realized it is quite famous in the underground scene. It's an event venue for mostly punk and hardcore concerts. The event organizers have something planned for almost every day of the week. They bring bands from all over the world, it’s amazing.
You can bring your own booze to drink outside or buy some canned beer for a small fee. Everyone there is very relaxed and just wants to enjoy good music and a laid-back place like this. There are no official rules, but everything works perfectly because the people respect the music and the integrity of the spot.
Check out their website for upcoming events, and if you are into the music, feel free to swing by.
