Vijokliai (Eng. creeper plant) is a rather new place that popped up in a trendy railway station district (as I’ve already mentioned, this area is living its best times now).
Vijokliai beer garden is a place you’d think is rather regular, but let me tell you – it’s not. First – they serve damn good burritos and those are hard to find in Vilnius. Second – their wide selection of beer is not unusual, but highly appreciated.
When you step into the place, you might think you’re inside, but don’t be fooled, this is a yard with a roof made completely out of creeper plants. In the evening the “plant ceiling” lights up with different coloured light bulbs and it makes the place look very mesmerizing and cozy.
The interior inside is also very special. The walls are covered in…books. Along with spicy burritos you can smell the old books and sweet nostalgia. Sounds weird, but it’s actually pretty cool.
The staff is very friendly, they’ll walk you through the food and drinks menu, mix up a nice cocktail or just have a nice talk with you if you want.
