The market is named after the neighborhood: Eastern Market. This place has everything. There are several stores and restaurants that are open here seven days a week. Every Saturday and Sunday, there's also an open-air market. You can buy all kinds of things. Paintings, candles, clothes, and more. I go there to get interesting and unique gifts all time.
What I like most about Eastern Market is that it offers something different to do. I will go down there, even if I don't want to buy anything, to see some of the work done by local artists and listen to the musicians that are always there playing music. There are vendors that sell food both inside the main market building and outside under tents as well.
There's no fee to get into Eastern Market. You can walk around or find a place to sit and people watch as long as you wish.
"GoodWood" in Washington DC looks like a general store, but it holds many vintage treasures. It's like an antique store that doesn't take itself too seriously.
