Public Bar Washington DC
Wednesday salsa night
Public Bar is an eclectic place. They host watch parties for boxing and UFC matches. They have brunch on Sundays. They also have one of the best weekday salsa nights in the DC area. That's what I like most about this place.
There are lots of bars in downtown DC that advertise some sort of "salsa night" but will play one salsa song all evening. Public Bar turns into a real salsa club every Wednesday night. So if you're serious about wanting to partner dance on a random Wednesday, this is a place you have to go to. If you want to go, but don't know how to dance, there's a free lesson every Wednesday from 19:00 - 21:00.
One of the other things I enjoy about Wednesday salsa night at Public Bar is that sometimes they have a live band. A live band does something to the atmosphere that a DJ (no matter how good that DJ is) can reproduce.
