Although I first visited Jules Verne in 2001, I only recently (2018) became a fan of the bar. Many factors fit my taste. The venue is centrally located and offers a very nice view of Zurich. The bar is at the top of a tower so you are sitting in a round place with a cozy atmosphere. There is no loud music so you can enjoy the conversation with your company. You sit near the neighboring tables so you may strategically choose your location in order to make new acquaintances. The visitors are mostly classy and good looking. But be warned: at peak times in the evening it is hard to find a table or even a seat at the bar.
Enter from Brasserie Lipp in Uraniastrasse and take the elevator. I personally have not tried the restaurant, which is decently priced for Zurich standards. They only serve food until 18:00 and I always go later. But judging from the menu, I think it would be a good idea to try someday.
