When this bakery opened back in 2021, I swear, it changed my life. I know that sounds dramatic, but their pastries are irresistible. The owners Elin and Yoeri started the bakery together as a couple and they are so kind. Elin makes all the cakes, croissants, and other pastries. Yoeri makes different types of bread. In the first year of the bakery, they had a baby together, so Elin would knead the dough with her son in the baby carrier.
The bakery has an open floor plan, so you can see them work during the day, and if they have time they love to answer questions. Everything is sourdough based, which means they make their own yeast for the bread. Some people come to the bakery to get a sourdough starter beside their weekly loaf. Many locals come here with their friends every Saturday, which creates a nice atmosphere. One thing: it is a small bakery, so there is limited seating inside. In the summer, you can sit outside on the bench in the sun. Before becoming bakers, Yoeri and Elin both worked in the coffee business, so they chose their favorite coffee to drink. Usually, I find coffee quite bitter, but theirs is somehow a little sweet/sour/fresh, which I find very interesting. All in all, a great place! I can not recommend it enough, also just to read a book or drink a cup of coffee.
