Lab111 is one of those movie theatres only the locals know about. It is hidden between houses and from the outside you cannot really tell the function of the building. The place used to be an anatomical lab a long, long time ago. Since 2016 it has been Lab111. The building now functions as office spaces, event spaces, a movie theatre, and a bar/restaurant.
The bar/restaurant is called Strangelove and they sell funky beers, AMAZING homemade lemonade, and the best sourdough pizzas. The pizzas have toppings you don't see every day: A pizza with soy-shiitake, mozzarella, edamame, kewpie mayo, seaweed-nori, and sesame. For picky eaters, they also have some classics, like a margarita.
Besides the bar, there is the movie theatre with two halls, where they show movies you don't see every day. They have had a Lord of the rings marathon before and sometimes they choose a director whose movies they then show. Wes Anderson month for example. Not only that: at the entrance they have a wall where you can write suggestions on which movies they should show. And they really do listen!
Lab111 is really one of my favorites. I can for sure say that you will love the atmosphere!
