Going to a pizzeria in Amsterdam (or anywhere outside of Italy) can be tricky business - you never know what you'll get. I probably don't have to tell you this, but definitely make sure to stay away from the ones with pizza slices in the window. If they look like they've been there for a week..they probably have. If you want quality pizza and everything that goes along with it, head to Sotto.
Located on Kadijksplein, not too far from central station, but still on a quiet corner, it could be easy to miss. What I like is that they focus completely on on pizzas, and they do it really well. There are 15 different mouthwatering kinds on the menu to choose from, along with some starters and desserts of course. The pizzas are made with fresh ingredients and are the right balance between a crispy base and juicy toppings. The antipasti plate is a great starter or sharing platter, and the house wines are a nice match. Definitely a great spot for a relaxed and yummy dinner!
