This is literally a hidden hot spot in Amsterdam. Cross the water by ferry (already a treat by itself!) to 'Buiksloterweg' and you'll hit the Tolhuistuin Restaurant to your left-hand side. Downstairs is a concert hall, a successful branch of the legendary club 'Paradiso' in the center.
But since 'tuin' means 'garden' in Dutch, the curious visitor who comes in search of an actual garden will be very rewarded: there's a good vibe in this garden with a little stage for Sunday afternoon concerts, a café/bar, sometimes a spontaneous barbecue, groups of people doing yoga, meditation or just flex-working with their laptops- everything is possible here and activities are generally free of charge.
The only disadvantage and probably the explanation why this spot is not yet overcrowded: information about activities is hard to find and most things happen spontaneously...
