Isidore from Amsterdam
Zizou stole my heart right away. It is a little stand, which had a juice bar in it before. When the juice bar was there, I always passed it without thinking about it twice, but since the opening of Zizou, the street and sidewalk are brought to life. The coffee place is run by two brothers, who live close by themselves.
They have a heart for the city and talk about the street and their coffee place with a lot of love. They set up the broad sidewalk in a way that it's now a nice yet small terrace. You can get a coffee here, sit in the sun or take it away and go on about your day. Every time I come here, they are friendly, have a smile on their face, and have this sense of calmness that always gives me a moment to remind myself that I don't always have to rush in life. It is simple, yet you get exactly what you need: a good coffee, a chill moment, and a friendly face.
