One of the things that I really enjoy doing is coming up with the interpretation of a word by examining its origins. Well, online dictionaries defines Genesis as the "origin, creation, or beginning" of something or anything.
Nevertheless, some claim that in contemporary art there is no such thing as Genesis and every new piece of art is the outcome of a copying process producing replicas of earlier artworks. However, the Genesis gallery in the centre of Athens challenges the modern skeptics and presents local and international artists who grapple with new forms of art by using a wide range of media. Emerging artists from around Europe are introduced to the Greek audience, resulting in the transformation of the gallery into a blooming field of new ideas and methods.
So, if you have any objections about whether or not there is original artistic production in the art scene in Athens, pop by Genesis gallery and an enlightening surprise might be waiting for you!
