There are a couple of restaurants I keep visiting on repeat in this city. Good food in a top location for a low price - this is the kind of restaurant where I spoil myself when I am too lazy to cook!
Bun Bo is one of them. Located right behind Cathedral square, the terrace is close to the tourist buzz but hidden enough to be peaceful. A very comfortable terrace to eat outside! It really is one of my favourites because of this, but the interior design is worth checking out too! Colourful Asian, maybe a bit kitsch, but the kind that puts a smile on your face!
The food is delicious. Cheap and a fair-sized portion, what else do you need? We often share all the starters between friends. Spring rolls, wontons, it makes it kind of an Asian tapas platter. The pho soup is great on colder days but the one dish you can wake me up for in the middle of the night is the chicken with mango. Yum!
Their cocktails are refreshing and available in many flavours. Go for a strawberry mojito or the passion fruit margarita and your exotic meal is a fact! As I said, prices are very affordable. Don't expect haute cuisine, but even on a budget, you can indulge yourself with some Vietnamese comfort food.
