Contracorrent Bar is one of those spots in Barcelona you should not miss if you are a natural wine fan. The Italian/Catalan couple is able to create amazing dishes with Italian influence along with local ingredients. Anna, the owner and sommelier, has come from this field having worked in other great spots of natural wine in town and recently opened the restaurant.
The spot is located just in front of NORD Bus Station, next to the Arc de Triomphe - a very central spot and easy to reach.
Their wine and food menus change a lot, and I love it. Always ask for their suggestions, and remember that the wines can be ordered by the glass too, so you can taste a lot more. Besides, the plates are very easy to share, so enjoy the opportunity.
We have been there once, but will definitely return many more times. The service was perfect, and that counts for a lot!
