One of the reasons Berlin is so tremendously amazing is that it it completely surrounded by water, and here is the even better news: you can explore countless lakes and two rivers by yourself using a float - I recently tried the ones from Huckleberry, and they are just amazing. If you ever considered a nice camping vacation, why not make it a one on water? Because that's exactly what you can do with Huckleberry floats, as they come fully equipped with everything you might need for a merry time out in the wild, from camping cookers and a barbecue to sleeping mats and sacks. The best: You don't even need a license to drive these babies, and the steering is very easy, so really everyone can enjoy to become a captain.
Every float comes with a wooden shack for up to three people to sleep in and store away your stuff, and one float can fit up to eight people, should you consider a nice glamping with your friends. Just buy supplies and take off for a day or even a week - the lakes around Berlin are almost all connected so you will never be bored. If you don't want to sleep on water, they will even equip you with tents.
Another reason why I chose Huckleberry is they are cheaper than every competitor, but to have a good price you should book some time in advance. There is one rental station in Berlin and several in the surrounding towns.
