It has been my favourite Vietnamese restaurant ever since I first went there. The celebration starts at the entrance. It charms you with its boho jungle interior long before the food arrives. Despite this lovely setting, it still has a street food court vibe. Most of the time, the place is busy and therefore noisy. It might be a good idea to book a table if you want to go with friends.
You won't be disappointed with the variety of drinks and food. If you like to share, try the menu for two, which gives you the opportunity to try many different small dishes.
Umami means "at mum's" - there are only a few in Berlin, but my favourite is next to the water tower in Prenzlauer Berg. After dinner, I usually take a walk around the nearby streets to breathe in the old city air and look at the window displays of the chic shops.
