Heaven is a pleasantly buzzed evening accompanied by pancakes and an intense game of Scrabble. You can have nights like this in the privacy of your own home, of course -- it’s hard to come by a place you can do all this publicly without judgement and on the cheap. That’s where Moogy’s comes in. Looking at their tiny storefront, you wouldn’t expect much; just another neighborhood bar. However, the reality is that Moogy’s is one of Brighton’s hidden gems, known among locals as a cozy place to grab a few drinks, some warm food, and gab with friends.
Once you enter, customers will be quickly and pleasantly confronted with a shelf packed full of board games, a fish tank, and the opportunity to order $1 PBR drafts. Once you pick your seats, you’ll go up and order at a walk-up window. You can go for their extensive, all-day breakfast menu or their regular menu; both are hits in my book. While their vegetarian options are limited, you can’t go wrong with their veggie hoagie - fresh, delicious, huge, and the perfect thing to munch on while kicking butt in Candyland.
