What makes a “nice” night out with friends a “great” night out with friends? Yes, the answer is amazing food. Located in the popular Rue de Bailli in the Chatelaine quarter, Nyyo has recently opened its door to Vietnamese food lovers. The simple yet refined interior of the restaurant is brightened by the clank of forks and knives on the plates, together with the chats and laughs of the crowd that fills the tables in the evening.
The menu offers a selection of plates to share, with meat, veggie and fish options, blending modern flavors with Vietnamese traditions. I really enjoyed the Tai Chanh, a beef tartare with a citrus vinaigrette, the Okra rolled in pork belly, and the buttery noodles with mushrooms topped with crushed peanuts. But what I will cherish as a “baste” (best taste) memory is the Thit Kho, caramelized pork belly that literally melts in your mouth, served with a soft-boiled egg braised in soy sauce. Please make sure you get (at least) one when you order.
The great night out has to start with a good drink, so feel free to browse their menu of homemade cocktails (including non-alcoholic options), natural wines and local beer, including a house pils. I got the BXL by Night, which perfectly mixes gin with jasmine syrup, lemon, and egg white. As more and more people will discover this gem, make sure to get a spot in time and enjoy the new sharing experience in Brussels!

They serve New York style pizza, so thin and huge. You can choose among the classic Margherita, Pepperoni (with spicy salami), and the pizza of the month!

There's nothing in Brussels like "Le Corbeau". It's a brasserie, a local restaurant/bar, but at night it becomes the opposite of Cinderella's fairytale...

"Coundenberg 66" Brussels is a magnificent building from 1898. It used to house La pharmacie anglaise de Charles Delacre and has many interesting features.

The "Zinneke" in Brussels is a statue of a dog that, to me, is an accurate symbol of my city with so many contrasts, but that likes to laugh about them...

"La Cambre Abbey" is an abbey tucked away in a corner of a small square in Brussels. I'm sure most visitors never notice it. It's a precious gem.

"Bois de La Cambre" is the preferred spot for me on a sunny day in Brussels. There is more to this park than a spot to have a picnic.
