The first theatre in Brussels fully dedicated to improvisation! The Théâtre l'Improviste has set performances that are different every single evening. I love going here, even if it's something I have 'already seen' because it gets a new twist every time I take a look, that's the beauty of improvisation.
The actors on stage have a loose story they stick to but usually involve the audience at the start of every evening in the creation of the story. You can give your input and they will try to integrate it into the performance of that night. They look at each other and then it starts right away, no time to think, they just do. Extremely impressive job. What I love most is the conversations you have afterward. Because these aren't plays that are written and edited over and over again, there are even more interpretations than the works we all know and have seen adapted. It's a relatively low-key setting so the actors usually also have a beer in the bar with their friends but they are always open to talk about their performance!
