If you are looking for local products in Bucharest, Băcănia Fermierului is the place to be! Actually, it is the place to eat... It is a grocery shop with local products, especially from Vrancea county, and it sells a great variety of foods and drinks. You can find here natural juices, wine, honey, dairy products and cheeses, different kinds of bread...
Meat lovers can choose to try the sausages, the aged beef, the cold meats or the famous grilled minced meat rolls (mici).
Breakfast is also an option here, because they make croissants, bread and pastry products. The owners are farmers (as even the name of the grocery shop implies) and they use flour and natural ingredients from their own farm. Also, you must know that the bread they produce has Eco Certification.
It is not located in the city centre, but I believe it's worth a ride and time if you are looking for some authentic food or drinks to experience or to take back home with you as edible souvenirs.
Saturday can become a really busy day and queues are to be expected, as well as sold out products.
