Grand Cafe van Gogh is one of my favourite places in the Old centre of Bucharest. It is a perfect place to either have breakfast, lunch, dinner, have a business meeting, or just enjoy a glass of wine with friends. You can even bring your laptop and work here if you feel like it, as nobody’s gonna bother you – especially during the day-time.

You have all you need here, it’s like being at home, only there are people serving you delicious drinks and food in a cozy atmosphere. The café is one of the most spacious ones in Bucharest and it’s also very bright because of the chandeliers, the white paint on the walls, the one wall behind the bar covered in mirrors and the huge windows from where you can see the National Bank of Romania.

Grand Cafe van Gogh reminds me of the period when I lived in Amsterdam, because here you can also enjoy a mint tea and appeltaart, a traditional combination in the Netherlands.
