'Zexe' is a spot recommended by two spotters, by Diana and myself. According to 'Restograf', in 2011 Zexe won the price for the best Romanian cuisine restaurant.
At Zexe you'll find a cozy saloon with several other warm and comfortable rooms which can be rented for dinners and special events. The whole atmosphere is completed by one of the best services in Bucharest. In the evenings, from Monday to Saturday a live band performs on stage. All the waiters are pretty neat and they act with care and politeness. I was pleasantly surprised to find a waiter who knew how to sell their dishes very well and made a wonderful presentation of their desserts.
All the food they serve is made in-house which means that all the sausages they have are made in their own kitchen and this goes for everything else. Even the chocolate is made in-house.
Zexe offers take away service or meat to cook in your own home or anything else from the menu. Everything is 20% discounted if you choose takeout.
This is the best spot one can find in Bucharest for Romanian cuisine. I truly recommend Zexe for all it is, cuisine, service, location, ambiance, you name it...
