If for a long time graffiti was disregarded, and even seen with certain prejudice, it has gradually become recognized as a great form of contemporary urban art.
Graffiti is often used as a provocative means of conveying certain more or less political messages, but they are also used for pure embellishment and artistic expression. In addition, as a part of public space, graffiti can also be an invitation for slowing down, for appreciating the surroundings and for taking a deep breath in contemplation.
In Frankfurt there are plenty of works that are worth your attention, so put on your best shoes and walk your way around the city in search of the best ones you can find. In this post, I post the location a beautiful specimen by the artist Justus Becker. Go on a detour from your usual Mainufer stroll and venture through the less populated streets of Sachsenhausen - you won't regret it!
