The Barras Art and Design centre is the place to be if you’re over the east end of Glasgow. It has everything you could possibly want in one venue. There is an amazing fish restaurant which has glowing reviews about the food that is centred around Scottish seafood. BAaD also has a great bar and if happens to be a nice, sunny day, you want to wander out to the backyard where you can enjoy cocktails or beers while listening to music played by the resident DJ.
Inside the building, there is also a record store and other independent business that support one another. If you take a wander down on any given Sunday, you will find a lovely vintage market boasting all sorts of unique nick-knacks. Be sure to check before you head down though as this beautiful venue also hosts weddings and parties! It’s definitely not one to miss out on if you are near the city centre!
