Glasgow's West End is populated with a wide variety of choices when it comes to going out for a curry. Recently, having stopped in at Rickshaw & Co, I have a new favourite!
Their Bel Puri and Papdi Chaat are a must-have in my book. Rickshaw and Co. is the first place I have ever tried; both are phenomenal. They pair excellently with a cold beer and make such a great starter. If you're in a group then definitely try and include these in your regular order of pakora or samosas and encourage the sharing of dishes! They all go beautifully together.
Much like their starters, the main courses at Rickshaw & Co. are exceptional. The restaurant's vibrant food and decor is inspired by the markets of India and Bangladesh. The curries that I have eaten have all been 10/10. They are so fresh, fragrant and delicious that it is clear to me how much care and love the chefs must-have for the cuisine.
On top of being a great place for dinner, they also sell takeaway lunches known as tiffins and other small plates, which they call 'Road Side Plates, ' making Rickshaw & Co. a great place for a light bite or substantial meal. If you ask me, they are worthy recipients of their "Best in Glasgow Award" from the Scottish Curry Awards (2024).
