Every Saturday morning, I look forward to a walk in the glorious Glasgow sun to this incredibly good doughnut shop. That's my breakfast you can see in the photo above. This morning's choices are crème brûlée, pistachio crème brûlée, Mexican hot chocolate with coconut crumble and the totally amazing blueberry cheesecake crumble with home made blueberry jam, cheesecake frosting and shortbread crumble - delicious!
You can watch the doughnuts being made by a pastry chef who trained at Heston Blumenthal's famous three-Michelin starred Fat Duck restaurant. It's situated on a lovely wee street in Yorkhill (where you'll also find the Banana Leaf Indian restaurant (check the Banana Leaf article). You can sit in or take away, and testament to the quality of the doughnuts and the coffee, it's usually packed.
Dough-nut miss this place if you're visiting Glasgow!
